Winner: The Sinclair

In its design, The Sinclair is able to pull off an uncommon highwire act: the venue is intimate enough to get up close and personal, yet large enough to sport impressive acoustics (a raucous DJ set by Questlove in January provided all the evidence necessary). Despite an appearance by The Roots’ marquee player, The Sinclair’s specialty is still up-and-comers, and its layout means there isn’t a bad vantage point in the house. –Dan Fogarty
